About Us

At A Bath and a Brush+, we know that dogs are family, so we treat them like our own.

Our Story

A Bath and A Brush was a concept born of a love of dogs. Growing up in a farming town, pet ownership was a big part of my upbringing. My dad inspired my first love of training and caring for pets.

Living in a metropolitan area for the first time at 20 was a big adjustment for me. Pretty quickly I saw that the biggest thing missing from my life was a dog. I adopted Finny, and my wife and I have since added three more 4-footed children: Forrest, Missy, and Morgan.

As I trained and cared for my dogs, I realized it was something that I really enjoyed. I started doing full service dog baths from my home in early 2022 and loved it so much that I knew it was time to expand my skills.

I began apprenticing with a local grooming establishment where I learned how to give full body haircuts and use shears to trim around the face. Each day, I practiced new techniques to keep dogs comfortable during their appointment. I also learned some of the more intricate styles and worked with a huge variety of dog breeds.

Now armed with my newfound experience, I'm ready to venture back into the world of entrepreneurship.

And so, here we are. The new and improved A Bath and A Brush+ dog grooming, which offers everything from baths to full grooms. One of the elements I'm most excited about is the ability to adapt my services to my clients' needs (both pup and owner alike). Unlike in a bigger studio, my nimble practice allows me to travel to your home and groom your dog where it is most comfortable for those who can't or don't want to make the trek to a location.

Our Team

As a dog mom of four myself, I know just how important it is to find dog groomers who are trustworthy, patient, and experienced. Each dog has its own unique personality with quirks to be aware of (both good and bad), and it's vital to work with a dog groomer who understands how to work with each dog on an individual, personalized basis.
